It has been an honor to serve as the Alpha Chapter President (2022-2024) and to now step into the role of past president. Tonja Padgett is our new Alpha Chapter President. A special thank you to all our exceptional Sigma members! Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing represents a prestigious, global network of nurses working daily to change lives and advance healthcare!
Sincerely, Dr. Angela Opsahl
We had a lovely Alpha Chapter Induction Ceremony on April 5th. Thank you to all the deans, faculty, inductees, and their families for celebrating this special occasion with us. Dr. Anna McDaniel was our keynote speaker and provided an excellent presentation on The Many Meanings of Sigma. Dr. Meg Moorman received the Rebecca T. Markel Excellence in Mentoring Award. Scholarship recipients were Angelica Montgomery and Zoe Wallace as they were found to be meritorious for their involvement in university and school activities for their nursing program. Congratulations to our 72 new Alpha Chapter and Sigma members from all nine Indiana University campuses! We welcome them to this prestigious, global network of nurses working daily to change lives and advance healthcare!
Sincerely,
Angela Opsahl, Alpha Chapter President
